Likely need a proper compound and machine to rectify.
Yes it very hard to do it by hand. I just about have every tool made today but I dont want to spend money on a rotary buffer and use it once that have to park it with all the other electric gadgets I have.

What do you think the average cost will be for this.

No idea.

Hit the phones and speak to some detailers.

Who knows.....it might end up being similar cost to buying a machine.

Alternatively, if you have a grinder, look into to acquiring a backing plate and pads for that, although will need to be careful as it will effectively be a rotary polisher which can be troublesome for new players if a high level of care isn't used.

Yes I have a 9 inch grinder but I wont use it for this.
Yes you are right the price of getting a guy to do it I can buy the best buffer available on plant Earth. Any how I have done the roof and the bonnet by hand thanks to my Daughter and possible today I will do the the Boot and the boot is not as bad as the roof and the bonnet. The VR Commodore is a damm good car that I have for 26 years and needs to be respected for its reliably.

Interesting!!
I finished the boot and its 100%, possibly better than new but to do the roof and the bonnet I wont be able to do it by my old hands or even a younger person. Yes I need a Buff to do it.
Most will view the VR Commodore and they will say its shiny but when you look closed on it with the Sun at the correct angle you will notice what I can see.
