Yes it very hard to do it by hand. I just about have every tool made today but I dont want to spend money on a rotary buffer and use it once that have to park it with all the other electric gadgets I have.Likely need a proper compound and machine to rectify.

Yes I have a 9 inch grinder but I wont use it for this.No idea.
Hit the phones and speak to some detailers.
Who knows.....it might end up being similar cost to buying a machine.
Alternatively, if you have a grinder, look into to acquiring a backing plate and pads for that, although will need to be careful as it will effectively be a rotary polisher which can be troublesome for new players if a high level of care isn't used.

yeah bought a orbital polisher kit from car care a few years ago = good value.
