    aye fellas

i've had my stock block VS for a while now and im thinking of doing some work to it soon, i would have started earlier but i was too busy with school and work, but now i got a fair amount of moola

atmo my ride sits pritty high about, front and back- 2inches above the tyre LOL. and ive been measuring all-round undercar, because i want to drop it at MOST 2 inches at the front and 2 1/5 inches at the rear.

ive noticed my exhaust system hangs pretty low..it seems like the pipe that goes from the headers into the cat AND the flange that joins the cat to the exhaust is the lowest part of my car.

question is, when i get my new extractors, cat, exhaust etc. am i able to tell the blokes to have the pipes hang a little closer to the car instead of having hang so low to the ground that it'll bottom out?

or can i do something with my stock exhaust to raise it up a bit?

start of with a simple check of all the exhaust rubbers. but you will find tats the lowest part on most commys, unless you have a bodykit ect.

I put superlow king springs on my car about 12 months ago, and it bottoms out alot... usually not that bad... just have to go REAL slow over speed bumps. Anyway.. yesterday I got some HM extractors fitted, and the pipes now are hanging so low... im talking 2 - 3 inches from the ground which is not cool. I just bought some 18" wheels of ebay (got 17's at the moment) so im hopein this will raise it a little... this true???

    I have a 'couple'
I doubt it, if you are going from 235/45R17 to 235/40R18 there is bugger all difference (less than a mm)

If the headers are hanging too low then perhaps I would look at your engine mounts and trans mount. If they are shot it will cause the engine to angle back more, it may not look like much in the engine bay but add 6-700mm to the back ie: headers, and they hang lower.

And R_I_D_A_R, Try tightening your flange nuts where the pipes bolt onto the manifolds, they come loose causing the cat to drop a bit too.
