2003 VY UTE ONE TONNER (series II) , ECOTECH V6 stock
There's a valve on the fuel rail return junction - with a vacuum line connection to the back of the Plenum chamber .
I figure it's there to keep the pressure in the rail high, so that it can release the over spec pressure back to the tank return.
I currently have a problem with my engine starting and running for only 1-2 secs then cutting out.
Only thought is this valve is maybe dialing up the pressure to much and some other sensor is tripping the ECU.
Recent work :
I have recently cleaned the injectors (which were new - only in use for 1 week) and protected with an extra fuel filter just up stream of rail. Rail also clean.
Checked
Injectors - yes working
MAF sensor - cleaned and test for correct resistance 9.7, 9.7 and 157 ohms
Fuel pump pressure - priming gives a healthy flow (entering rail)
Rail and injector seats (but valve was hard to get back into position and put the retainer clip back on. O-rings were fine though.)
Coil packs and spark plugs are new and have spark.
CAS has been replaced - assumed to still be working.
All fuses - ok
Vacuum leaks - all new hoses and gaskets connecting to the plenum chamber.
Cheers
Matt
