Does my 96 VS executive 5 speed have a rev limiter ????

    Does my 96 VS executive 5 speed have a rev limiter ???? ... dont really wanna red line it me self to find out

    I'm pretty sure it would have a limiter, probably around 6000rpm, maybe a bit less. My auto changes from 1st to 2nd gear at about 5800 or 5900 under full throttle, which is actually a bit more than what the manual for the car says, as its supposedly meant to change at 5750 rpm. Either way its well into the red, as that starts at 5500rpm.

    cant quite remember the stock rev limit, i think its around 5800rpm like harvs said...this limit can always be changed though - if the engine is strong enough to take it. ive got mine set to a 6500rpm rev limiter when it was tuned, thats where the hp peaked for me.

    6600 is the factory limiter well that is were it is on my vr v6 5 speed
