I got some new HSV LS3 340kW headers/cats to fit to my VFII SSVR and just wanted to know if it would sound decent as that is what I am planning to do

If you pulled the fuse & changed the headers & cats to 4 into 1 and left the rest of exhaust standard from factory, would you get a better note than just pulling the fuse & leaving it all stock?

I think there's a guy in the VE section that put HSV headers on his VE and it made it slightly louder.

I know it's a different car, but my boss put 4 into 1 headers on his GTS with standard cat back. it sounds woeful

I just fitted the headers, cats and floor section off a 340 r8 to my new new redline. Keeping the factory bimodal. Its not that much louder, but definitely deeper and throatier.

Not sure if anyone has done that here?

I'm going to fit aftermarket headers and cats and see if it makes it even better, normally 4>1 headers and cats make as system sound better. I' want to keep the bimodal option available, I drive out driveway at 4:45am each morning
I will be looking forward to hearing it. I want to do the same

Why remove the fuse? Can't you just not change the mode in MyLink?

Nah...removing fuse leaves bi-modal open under 3k permanently which is not the case when you use the mylink setting.

Cheers, did not realise it didn't open until 3k

Can report after pulling the bimodal relay, no drone, from exhaust in a wagon.

Manual sedan, hsv headers and cats, hsv floor section, factory bimodal rears with the relay pulled. Slight drone. Whisper quiet at cruising speeds though thankfully.
I'm wondering if the Bailey tip is doing anything to create the drone, given its designed to pump exhaust noise back into the cabin.
I've got a mate with a VF clubby, manual, same exhaust, relay pulled, zero drone at any stage.
On the outside both cars sound much the same, so I can't see there being much difference between the Holden and hsv bimodal mufflers.
