Does the VT Calais Series II 6cyl come standard supercharged?

Hey guys I think I just found out the right answer.

It was standard on the VT Calais S2 but you could delete the supercharger and save $1000.

I have a VTII Calais and unfortunatly its not supercharged =(. Some come out of the factory supercharged some dont, not sure on the ratio but its not standard

im guessing what antseh said is probably right, they came factory supercharged, but if u didnt want the charger u could save a grand off it

In fact yes the Series II Calais came standard with the supercharger and in fact the basic Ecotec engine was an option upon ordering it from the factory. Why you would want to order a standard 6cyl engine is beyond me but it was an option and many people who were afraid of the supercharger did order a standard enginje package. The only engine options were the standard Ecotec and the V8 engine!!

You can tell by rims and the series II badging, not sure of interior. Also clear side indicators, but you see that on every commodore.

The VTII Executive Commodore had a option of Supercharged, I recall the brochure and have seen one before, not sure about VX, I guess not popular. Its an option for Calais aswell.

im pretty sure it was an option coz the supercharged version uses more fuel

but yes it was a factory option on the calais

I Own the 2000 series 2 calais, & my car is just stock V6 ....

The supercharged cars were an option when buying it new form the Holden dealer...

I beleive it was an extra $6k on the rrp of a stock calais v6 & they were retailing @ $54k in 2000
