hey everyone, heres a photo of my vp, got it cheap cause i wanted to fix it up, as soon as my dad gets his new compressor we are painting it and i was wonder what colour u guys think i should change it to.
im slowly saving up for new mags. i only have a part time job at woolies and have approx 180$ left over each week i can spend on my car.
its pretty much all standard, the guy i baught it off told me it has a calais interior, i wouldnt have a clue if thats true or not,
i baught a kenwood head unit mp333 model and 6" speakers for the back and 4" for the front.
what does a super sized throttle body do and is it worth spending 200$ on one thats like 70mm or bigger. will it go straight on without any problem?
    will the car need tuning?
also what do u guys think i should do, i want to get a pod filter setup but i cant find any cheap ones arround the 200$ mark or less.
and please dont go telling me i need something worth 1800$ or sumthing cause i dont have that sort of money. thank you and i cant wait to hear everyone opinion.

it needs a paint job for sure cause the old owner did some touchups using a spraycan then clear coated over the top

How about just a nice metallic 2pac white... And a nice bright silver/gold along the bottom?

Group A grille (like mine) $37 or Calais grille. I got a couple of great Pods off ebay for around $30 each (retail for $80+ according to ricebarn)... I'd CAI and K&N panel filter though, tried the pod, great fun, no grunt though.

Looks nice and clean though. Good find mate.

paint it pink nah im joking umm maybe like a hyper blue would look good and different
u can get a pod filter from supercheap for like 30 ish i think they seem to work alright my mate has one on his vn he just took out the airbox and customised the box so the filter would sit half inside it and half out its a good idea if coppers wanna look at ur engine
but yeh a KnN panel with CAI would be better option

i reckon do a nice white... and if its an original calais, then re do the silver bottom and if its not, then dont imitate a calais, just color code the bumpers.... and lower it to.... tint the windows and debadge :D will look tuff.... then eventually put bigger rims and so on:D:D:D

i was considering getting a larger throttle body, but was convinced against it. for starters the v8 only came with a 65mm, so 70 is a bit excessive, anything over that is total overkill.

as a starter mod, go with the CAI and a nice panel filter, you should get the CAI setup from a holden dealership for pretty cheap, and a decent panel should run you to $140.

after that, look into a 2.5 cat back exhaust, if i remember mine was ~$300-ish.
also, a powerchip would be a good mod, pm doctorbob, he'll help you out.

check this thread for more tips, it's a list someone put together.
