Hey guys,

My vz sv6 has started to lose the paint around the door handles so they look like white handles on a blue car... Not a good look!

Local panel beaters will repair for $50ea, just wondering if that is a good price? I have no idea.

Thanks

If you don't want to pay for them to be resprayed, depending on how bad it is you could try fix it with some touch up paint. Same thing happened to the handles on my vz sv6. I did my handles on the weekend and they came up pretty good. I went to Holden and the touch up paint was $15. Give it a go and take your time and if you don't like the result then get them done properly.

Do you happen to have a photo of the completed handle? I might give that a crack before spending the cash getting someone else to do it.

Did you have to take the handle out to do it? The paint is missing around the outsides of the handle for me, so I think i would have to remove them to do a good job.

Cheers

Alternatively, if you were going for the chrome look, or really any colour (except factory blue) you could vinyl wrap the handles. Would stop the original paint deteriorating any further, and when you get bored of it, rip it off and do whatever you want.

If the paint isn't too badly chipped you always touch it up with some paint and a brush

Thanks for your input all. I'll definitely not be getting chrome, but will look into the others
