Hi guys i was buffing my car and burnt the door handle paint and the rubber mould above the door handles :/ i'm wondering if anyone has a tutorial on removing the passenger door handle on a VF SS?
Also can you remove the rubber moulding and replace?

Thanks

It’s a bit of a pain in the ass getting the door handles off. There’s a workshop manual floating around on here showing how it’s done

@Jack84 yer especially with the push button handles it’s not really hard just fiddle.
Have a look at the manual and see how you go.
I would highly recommend getting some trim tools (if you don’t already have) to do the job this is the kit I bought and it dose the job for cheap. https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https://www.ebay.com.au/ulk/itm/222660477336
Yeah I just don’t want to break any clips or make any new rattles I don’t think the door skins have ever came off :p ok will get those tools appreciate the help guys.
@ lex cheers that will help me out heaps

There is also a lesson here to ensure you properly tape up your car before touching it with a buffing machine.

Door handles, panel edges, rubber, metal & plastic edgings to name a few should always be masked to protect them from a machine even when using a less aggressive dual action/random rotary orbiter.
