Door lock issue

Hi guys and gals,

Having intermittent issues with my central locking,

Issue 1: doors not locking or unlocking - different doors and no consistency to it.. once one door seized open and I had to strap the doors together to close it.

Issue 2: horn not chirping when door unlocked - I know it is meant to chirp 4 times, doesn't happen.

Issue 3: Alarm doesn't always fire - when a door is unlocked and car has been secured by remote the alarm will only sometimes fire.

Now from reading on here the door lock/actuator set up is usually the fix. so I'm wondering is my only option 4 new door handles etc. or is there something else that may be causing my problem.

I'm getting an Alarm installed soon, but want to have this sorted first.

have u looked in your door jams to see if the light switchers working , it may be the issue with your alarm . try pulling the battery off for 10min and see how that goes.
