can anyone tell me why when ever i lock my car through the remote key half the doors dont lock. i have to manualy lock them by hand but when ever unlockin them they all open??
Possibly a problem with the actuators. You may have to pull them out of the doors that don't lock and clean them up. Or even replace them if that doesn't work.
Agreed. One of my doors would unlock, but not lock. Got a second hand actuator from the wreckers & problem solved. After a while they wear out a bit and can't pull the lock down, but can easily push them up
I've actually got the reverse of this problem. Mine locks but sometimes doesnt unlock...but only on the drivers door. All the others work fine. Open and close a few times and it's ok. I just done it 2 mins ago and it unlocked fine. Tends to be more on cooler mornings or after being left sitting for periods of time. Any ideas?
what about when its wet and they just go up and down up and down up and down... its lucky the holden alarm beeps once if the locking system is playing up otherwise when one door doesnt lock i wouldn't know unless i looked
One possible cause of intermittent door lock operation is one or more of the wires in the door harness breaking where they pass through between the body and the door. The fix is to either replace the harness or, if you have time and patience, and new harnesses are prohibitively expensive, to splice in new sections into the wires. (Just cutting and joining won't work because the wires still have to flex with the doors opening and closing).
when ever i put the key in the door they all lock, but when i use remote key lock sum go down and sum stay up. u can hear it tryin to lock itself. hmm
Mine only play up after a couple days rain, then take about a week for then all to work again, n the dead lock dont work if one is playin up.
