Door straps/ stays

OK, so a search here tells me the door straps/stays on my VZ are different front to back ( there goes my cheap skate plan to just swap 'em)

Cheapskate plan B. Has anyone tightened the strap up somehow?

No you can not adjust them,
You have to replace them.
And they were still available last year,
as I bought some for my VY.

There was a post only recently of someone pulling them down, cleaning and relubing for their car. May have been on fbook. That doesn't fix wear. Still available but not cheap.
