Hi trying to look for a thread on how to check for driveshaft problems, when i drive along i can feel vibrations around my feet and the centre console etc. it doesnt happen all the time, but when the road has slight bumps, it will rumble, stop, rumble stop etc. if anyone can direct me to a thread on what to check and how, or describe it to me would be awesome. And if there is a problem, am i best to try to fix mine or buy a replacement from the wreckers? Cheers

Probably the best way to check is using your hands and eyes.

LOOK at the centre bearing mount to see if it has split or sagged, this can cause a thumping noise.

FEEL for free play at the uni's and the centre CV joint by holding either side of the uni or CV and twisting in the opposite directions back and forth. But the car has to be in neutral with no load on the tail shaft so it rocks back and forth easily. If any of them have free play, this can cause a rumbling and/or vibration.
