Carby? I think you mean inlet manifold. If you can't get it out with a magnet then the inlet manifold will have to come off.

Take the lid off the plenum and see if the bolt is sitting in there, if you can't see it anywhere it's probably sitting in the inlet manifold, don't stress though just take the plenum off and maybe even the injectors so you can see down the injector holes.

I was at chiptorque in Nerang QLD changing my injectors in the car park when I was putting everything back together when I dropped a nut down an intake runner. The guys inside gave me this spring loaded clawing device that I was able to grab the nut with (whilst propping it up with a screw driver through an injector hole) and everything was fine.

I managed to find one of the tools for you on ebay - it even has a magnet built into the end of it!!

Might take a while to get here from Korea. I got one from my local Autobarn, no claw though, just a decent magnet. Did the job when I dropped a bolt down one of the runners. Problem was I got the bolt out, and 1 minute later dropped the same bolt down the same runner, dammit.

Haha, thats why i now stuff the runners with rags before i undo those bolts. Also theres no way those bolts can go fall through the valves. I always pick them up with a good magnet on a spring thingy.

You probably shouldn't be working on it if you think it has a carby.

I usually do too, but this one time I was in a hurry and didn't bother. Ended up taking hours longer to WALK to Autobarn and back, and then the cost off the tool. Karmas a bitch.
