I'm helping a mate drop his auto from a VS cause of coverter seal is leaking bad, but we don't have access to a hoist, does anyone know how high the car has to be off the ground to clear tha trans? Also there's no beaming brace on the VS autos like the VR's it's a fully encapsulated housing around the fly wheel with just an inspectio hole for the nuts? Thanks.

If you have engine stands get the car to the top hole in them and you should be fine. When I did my 5.0L I had to get it out from under the car from the front, and it was easier to get it out from the left side. I droped it onto a piece of carpet that made it easier to slide out.
