My drive belt broke & i drove for about 3 km before stopping. Ive replaced the belt but i now have a lumpy idle in park & drive. It kind of skips a beat. have i done any damage? Or is the idle problem just a coinsidance.

Did the temp sky rocket? Might be up for head resurface and new gaskets plus bolts etc.

Coolant will still circulate without the water pump (albeit slower). Thermo fans help to facilitate this. As long as it didn’t boil over and spew all the coolant out it should be fine.

When the belt broke it may have damaged the crank angle sensor behind the harmonic balancer.

Yes agree with Trev, if you have wire threads caught up inside the balancer this will cause a miss, happened to me.

I'd agree with the last 2 comments. Worth checking the wires to the coil pack for damage too and also the spark plug leads as they are in the line of fire when the belt breaks. I'm pretty sure the crank sensor should also put the engine light on now I think about it, so if its not on maybe look elsewhere first.

strands of wire around CAS can cause a miss and not throw a CEL, I know.
