I would suggest circuit breakers rather than fuses, I had them in my last car (149.6dbl, screen, PS2 etc) and it made life easier while tinkering/upgrading and general life.

Good Luck, sounds like fun!

wow i didnt even know you could get them for 12v electrical?? :O where from mate?? :O

AmmoJammo, was a 92 Mazda V6, 1ga wiring, 2xRockford Fosgate p3d412 wired in parallell, (to Drop them to 2ohm each) they were facing the back of the seat, running in stereo by an old Alpine 1000W amp (blown up atleast 4 times and rebuilt stronger!?? maybe), 1Farad Cap.
made 150.5dbl one day, but that wasn't in competition, and it started raining (cool air) after we had been testing for a while (humid inside car) so made for some good sound travelling environment.

no way! Sedan, Eunos500

Thats incredible!
So not only did you have one of the loudest sedans EVER in Australia or New Zealand, but you did it off less than 1000watts!
Did the windscreen break too?

Dman, I'd use fuses.
