Do roller rockers just sit on the stud and hold up by the push rods and valve-spring or is there a spacer or a taper in the stud they sit on... call me dumb but ive never played with roller rockers before :hmmm:

stud mounted is old school and not really used on Holden unless you go to after market brands (but yes, your basic description is correct). the most common Yella Terra roller rockers are shaft mounted, in which the rocker pivot has a shaft through it which is bolted to the head on a pedestal which is much more solid and stable at high RPM

see Yella Terra - Part details

you will need guide plates to stop your pushrods going sideways.

personally i think those are better than shaft mounts cos they are a TONNE easier to get the adjustment right. bloody shaft mount always flick your allen key out of the hole. frikken annoying.

edit. oh right didnt see the guide plates. nah thats all you need.

you'll also need hardened push rods.
