Feels good but need it to stop raining..
Little bit of bottom end torque was lower than before but up high it sings

With such basic mods a good tune should really strengthen up the bottom end as much as the top.

A nice curve will start climbing quickly until it runs out of power.

I don't know who'd bother to try and match you as that rear wheel figure is meaningless without known what the base run was.

.
Don't know what baseline was.
The car was stock, I added otr and hsv mid
The final figure ended up being 298
Am curious to see if anybody on this forum has had something similar with similar mods
What's baseline for stock vf2? 240ish rwkw? Assuming so.
Curve is nice.
I just didn't think I would get around that rwkw with mods I have.

Problem is comparing runs from different dynos is pretty sketchy. Even the same one on different days. Lots of variables to increase/decrease outputs.

Which begs the question, does an 'aftermarket' exhaust provide much in extra gains at these power levels? Can it possibly even take away some with certain configurations?
Obviously with forced induction it'll be a different beast we're dealing with.

unfortunately not, I was on the phone when the first run was happening and I didn't ask after. I saw 3 of the 5 runs
The 3 runs were 294 296 298.
The tuner (I won't mention) is very reputable in Sydney.
Just seeing if people matched or came close with the same/similar mods
Which tuner bruz ?

Had a tune, my ls3 made 298.4kw atw
With peak 687nm Torque.

Mods are OTR and 2 1/2inch cat back (hsv mid).

Anybody make similar with similar mods?
As others have said, the number doesn't mean anything. Dynos are comparison tools, before vs after, and what came out as 298.4kW ATW on that dyno on that day could be 350kW ATW on the dyno of the workshop next door, and 240kW ATW on the dyno of the workshop around the corner.
This doesn't mean it's not a good tuner, and it doesn't mean it's not a good tune.

Without the "before" number you just can't know how high that dyno was reading on that day.

Which isn't to say it's not a great result; just that you can't compare to numbers other people have achieved with the same mods. I could put my stocker on a dyno that's been tweaked so it tells me it's got 350kW ATW, my number is higher than yours & yet your car would annihilate mine! :)

Just enjoy it, and use your seat-of-the-pants-ometer. :)

dont want to put you down, but if you believe you gained 60rwkw from an otr and a tune.. that must be one hell of a tuner.

I don't disagree with what you say, but can 2 dynos vary by 45%?
