E1 Maloo R8
Hi, Ive been around the site for a while now, but Ive recently got new wheels worth sharing.

Its a 08 E series Maloo, with all the E3 trims which I love, cause I cant afford a E3 and they look way better than the E1.

Its had a bit of work done, but I got it from a car yard so I don't really know what has been done or by who.

Its got a Carryboy canopy with ladder racks, whick is the main reason I got it. I looked at some SSV's but by the time I installed a canopy and racks it would have cost the same as the Maloo.

The way I figure is if you're going to spend big bucks, you may as well drive EXACTLY the car you want and not something close to what you want. And Ive loved the E series Maloos for a long time.

So its got:
Brand new Pedders, struts springs and shocks all round, roughly standard height
Orsome OTR, with K&N filter, maf tuned
Full 4 into 1 extractors into a twin 2.5" right through, Im not sure what brand it is tho but it looks like a big square hi flow cat.
Genuine 20" E3 GTS wheels with new Falken tyres, 245/35/20 fronts and 275/30/20 rears
Canopy and racks

The only short term mods I have planned is to rip out the factory speakers and install some Focal splits and build a custom single 12" sub enclosure, plus all the associated gear like LOC and ground loop isolators to fix the stupidly loud alternator whine.

It is the car Ive always wanted and it is such a pleasure to drive. Not only does it have fantastic power, but fully loaded with the air con on I can get 10.2L/100k. DSCF5862.jpgDSCF5858.jpgcover.jpg20140828_164731.jpg20140828_164718.jpg

Isn't this an E series 2?

Either way, nice pickup - love my HSV.
