(This may apply to other models that have a similar head unit to the VT).
Well, I couldn't be bothered waiting for the special tools to remove the head unit to arrive from eurovox so I decided to try and find a cheap and easy way to remove the head unit.
Here goes (Yes, this does work!!!)
Buy a Coathanger (preferably as thick as can fit in the holes). Cut 4 lengths approx 15cm's long. Push these into the 4 holes in the face plate of the unit on the sides until you hear a click.
Head unit will now be free to pull out - it's as easy as that!.
