Ebay ali plate

Anyone know if the eBay ali plate is ok for welding? I need to make a cover for my bike engine the gear at Bunnings is $40 a sheet where as eBay has it for $11 a sheet. My concern is it may contain magnesium which if it does the welder will tell me no way.

I’ve no idea if it’s good to weld or not but I’m guessing at $11 a sheet it’s probably some Chinese crap aluminium.
But at $11 a sheet what have you got to lose?
Buy a sheet and give it a go

All good problem solved. I was put onto a sheet metal dealer. Size piece i need 5 bucks. Lol and Bunnings want 42 and Mitre 10 my trade price 40. No need to go with eBay and dont have to wait four weeks.

Sounds about right, most retail places are a rip off for that sort of stuff.
