Ecotec Conversion for VR ute

ive searched and i know its been covered before but i have a few questions, this thread has been usefeull Ecotec to VN/VP

any way, ive been given the task to help my brother in law put a new motor in his VR auto ute, the current motor is stuffed (big end knock) and he has picked up a VS exec. basically my question is do i swap over all the sensors from the Buick to the Ecotec and all should be ok. if theres anything else you can add or any trick let me know

No, run the Ecotec with all of it's sensors and use the wiring loom and ECU from the VS.
