Crank pulley removal tool ( al-cheapo from supercheap does the job) and then you need to by the correct bolts to fit into the balancer. I think from memory they are M6 and need to be about 100mm long.

Alrighty so the harmonic ballencer pulley bolt is being very stuborn and doesn't want to budge!
I've tried 1/2 rattle gun but not enough kick, the ol dodgey engine chasis trick, still no go! Also tried breaker bar and pipe.

So I'm thinking my next step will be heating up the bolt?
Some say you can cause damage to the crank, is this the case?
What other options do I have to get this thing out?

I normally use a 3/4" drive power bar/socket with a pipe extension. A 1/2" drive power bar and extension pipe should work as well.

You will however need to stop the engine from turning over.

The very first time I tried it, I had the car in reverse (manual trans) hand brake on and with the power bar on the bolt I just moved the whole car backwards....

Yeah its a manual, have her in reverse and handbrake on but as you said just moves whole car.

Going to grab a big pipe and breaker bar from work tomorrow and give it another crack!

Thanks for your help mate, very much appreciated
