hi guys I have since done the inlet manifold gasket as they were stuffed, I cleaned everything before it went back on the car I serviced the injectors and stuffed one but replaced it with a new one, now it blows white smoke, I don't think its oil cause it doesn't smell like burnt oil and hasn't got a blue tinge to it, any ideas would be great please

If it's blowing white smoke, either your head gasket(s) is/are damaged or the inlet manifold gasket's leaking. If it's white it'll be steam. How much is it blowing?

Daresay it's coolant. Does it blow liquid out the exhaust if you give it a decent rev?

Should pull the plugs and see if there's anything on them

Never blown white smoke before, and its heaps of smoke like someone it toking away on a joint, I don't understand how it could be leaking brand new inlet gaskets and the head gasket should be fine as it wasn't doing it before, but could be wrong, any where else it could be leaking from maybe I haven't done it up tight enough? I used 14nm as I found on the internet?, and I didn't really notice any liquid.

How did you tighten them to 14Nm? What size torque wrench?

my repair manual says 12 -18 nm on inlet manifold bolt

on this job ..14 may not have been enough

there are a few posts in this forum when something has gone wrong after a lim gasket replacement

your are not the first to have a problem like that

easy to do a forum search on their experiences

if you cant sort it you may have to do the work again
take a good look around the inlet manifold ... see what has failed .. and refit another one gasket set

try a search
There is a link in this forum somewhere for an free downloadable VT/VX repair manual

some small annoying detail probably

flat surfaces not smooth
one speck of old gasket stuck somewhere
the failure of a less cost no name brand gasket set
sealant needed
old bolt ...stretch .. umm you think .torque ?

14 is very light for a 1/2inch torque wrench. You'd be better off with a 3/8.
Ij you're desperate you could try tightening the bolts up a bit tighter but sounds like you need to do it all again with new gaskets, some good sealant and perfectly clean surfaces.
My guess is a gasket has moved as you put it back together and you'll find it when you take it apart.
