im kinda confused... not sure you had to cut out the fire wall. if your putting in a vs engine loom and computer with a vs dash, wouldnt it be easier to just put the vs dash loom in too? i did a series 1 vn calais swap to a vn lexcen (series 2 vp engine) i just swapped everything over including the body loom so theres no conflicts anywhere... the only thing i dont know about is if your body loom will plug in 100% or not... if you got a vg 91 ute where does the vr loom come in?....

i met that i have cut my firewall out due to the vs dash having different mounting points to say the vn dash and the de-frosters are a different setup. The vr dash loom came into cause i was original gonna put the buick back in the car and i found a vr with a buick in at the wreckers, and the vs-vr dash are the same, so i grabbed the loom outta of it. But now i am interested in a ecotec, just curious if i can put a vs engine harness and computer in, and i will change the dash loom to vs one if its easy done.

    Then buy a VS

My VN had a VY Ecotec motor + VS Caprice Dash...
The dash bolts in, Fibreglass your own underdash vents. All mounting holes are the same.

    Soo..
Why do you think nothing bolts up and/or works...

i dont wanna buy a vs, as i got this cheap and the body is straight as, and i have spent hours on doin a respray and smoothin the engine bay. I thought it was different cause the vs dash has got 5 bolts to hold the dash the vn one has 3? correct me of i am wrong.

that sounds about right but it will still hold up with the 3. i had a vs dash in my vn and with the 3 bolts it sat in there fine

i like the way u have done the engine with all the buick pieces extra well done. but i would rather just put the whole lot over motor harness and computer.

Have a look at the link I posted above. There is a lot of information there on putting supercharged ecotec's in VN-VR's so you might be able to apply some of that knowledge to your project. Ive seen your car on SC it looks like a wicked project. I was looking at VG utes a while back but they were mostly overpriced and trashed unfortunately
