ecotec smoother than buick

    my mate reved his vs with the bonnet up and i noticed that his engine reved so much smoother and had alot less engine noise than my vr which got me wondering what makes the ecotec engine run so much smoother? is it just that the rotating parts are better quality and balanced better?

    It's just that the ecotec is a much smoother motor than the buick is.

    Love your technical explanation.

    I know they lightened the rotating assembly for a start, which will reduce rotational inertia.
    Sequential injection too?

    on a serious note the ecotec has different everything:p still works basically teh same but was a better refined eingin....so yeh better balanced etc...P
