Yea, I'm trying to get the seller to give me a full refund, they're not willing to pay return postage though, claiming it was my fault (how?) that I didn't know that their device can't be used on 2nd hand ECUs. I should probably just take that, but still feel a little pissed about it.
To answer your Q, you get 24 months to program all of the modules for your specific VIN/vehicle. You get one attempt at programming each module successfully (the warranty screen will show up if the programming is successful, you can fail as often as you want). Just note that if you choose Tech2 Remote mode, SPS first programs your Tech2, which counts as a programming event, whether or not your Tech2 then succeeds or fails to program your vehicle later.
