Hey guys,

Just got some questions about removal of a spoiler on a VT-S pack.

1) Does the spoiler really for anything for downforce on the VT?
2) Will removal of a spoiler make the car feel any different?
3) Does the s-pack bodykit look good without the spoiler?
4) Does anyone have pics of VT-S Packs spoilerless, searched the forums and cant find any.
5) Is it possible to get some sort of metal looking object to fill the holes on the bonnet?
EDIT: 6) The spoiler weighs alot, so would i get (be it very minimal) speed gain, due to lose of weight?
thanks for your help in advance

took it off

4) i havent seen any pics
5) you can get plug things to fill the holes in the boot lid from the spoiler but if youre set on making it look like it was never there you can get the holes filled and the boot sprayed again.

you have to be doing over 160kms for the spoiler to effectively work

And that would be, a proper racing wing with proper adjustments. Stock holden wings are purely for looks (how someone thought they looked good is beyond me, bootlips ftw)

Hey man,

I recon it looks way cleaner without the spoiler, i have a series 1 vt s pac and traded my boot for a standard vx boot at the wreckers.

The main deference besides no garnish and spoiler is there is no key hole to manually open your boot.

Ill take a pic before work tomorrow and post it up if you want.

Cheers,
Ben

Sure the factory or aftermarket factory-look spoilers provide down-force. The first time I opened my brothers boot after he got a Clubbie kit, I found out that he would need new boot struts that handle the extra weight, but to find that out my head felt plenty of down-force.

Hey mate so when you traded it was it a clean swap or did you still have to foot some extra coin?
