Hey guys. I have a EFI VK 202 and its missing on cylinder 2, no matter what i try i cant seem to get rid of it, ive replaced the plugs, leads, dizzy cap, rotor button and injectors but still hasnt fixed the problem. That said if i pull the injector connection off #2 it changes nothing at all, have tested the connection and its working just like the rest.

Anybody got any ideas on what it might be?

An engine mechanical fault? Maybe worn cam lobe or piston not sealing?

Re. the injector connection: did your check involve seeing that the voltage drops on the earth side of the injector with the engine running?

It should be right between Cyls 1 & 3 if your looking :p sorry couldnt resist.
So your missing 3 cylinders now :)

Ok seriously now...

Ok so your saying you have check the injector plug and your seeing an injection pulse? Tested with a test light??

Have you pulledthe spark plug out and checked it?

Have you done a compression test?

if you are going to test an injector lead with a test light, make sure the test light has an internal resistor or an LED type, or you will risk frying your ECU
as suggested above, do a compression test
if the compression is down, could be a broken valve spring, worn cam lobe, burnt valve

If you do a compression test and a cylinder fails, add a cap of engine oil to the dodgy cylinder and test again. If the compression comes up it indicates stuffed rings, if it doesn't its most likely valves

:rofl2:

Have checked and replaced plugs, injector wire was tested with a test light and also on the #1 injector, compression test all 6 cyl tested about the same and a leak test showed nothing.

Could it possibly be a vacuume hose on in the wrong place behind the heater control unit?

Ok so with the new plugs in my original question still stands.

what does the plug look like after its had a run?

A vacumn line wont cause a miss on one cylinder, you may have just mis diagnosed and have a vac leak which will make it sound rough.
You may also have a dud lead, this can be checked b swapping with another lead. You need t swap i on the dizzy as well.
You may also have a dizzy cap & rotor button problem or even a dizzy fault.

First we need to know what the plug looks like
