Electric fans

Wondering if anyone has replaced the electric fans and are the Commodore fans interchangable between the different years and the engines v6 and v8.

I’ve never changed the fans, but I understand that there was a running change that was implemented in the later VX2s were they used two variable speed fans rather than a ‘high’ and ‘low’ fan in the earlier versions. The late VX fans may be interchangeable with the VY fans but I’m not sure.
