Yes click is probably the window trying to drive ....current drawn instantly taxes the switch contact and open circuits the power to the motor as the console switch contact is burnt....quite common.
With a multimeter stick it on volts and put it across the 2 large wires going to the motor in the l/h door harness connector leaving the door harness still connected under the lefthand kick panel.
Try the window if the the voltage drops substantially or isnt there at all when you try to drive window up..... its lkely its the the switch as long as all the other windows work.
If it is the switch and you are handy with a soldering iron you can fix it but its a bit fiddly. You have to carefully prise the rocker of the switch at where it pivots in the side .From there you unsolder with a small tip soldering iron the led/resistor carefull not to lose the bakelite part that pushes on metal contact.Repeat for other switch in blockThen from underneath prise off the attaching holes clear of the little barbs and the mechanism should slide out of main plastic body and the switch contacts should be seen.Clean them as best you can without damaging contact movement.Should clean up ok unless the heat has really wrecked the contact .Clean up the other one while its apart.
Reassemble taking care to resolder the led/resistor neatly in original position without melting too much and remembering to put that bakelite square part back in switch before you snap rocker back in.
