Electric windows problem

when i hit the switch to put the windows down , the window drops a few cm’s and then stops . I have to hit the switch over and over to get the windows down . They go up fine . I have replaced the switch pack and interchanged the fuse and regulator . Still same problem , I have silicones the felt frame . Still no luck . Please help !

Probably the regulator arm broken away causing it to come down lopsided, tapping the switch will jolt it down, are the nylon slide clips all good. Be best to remove the whole mechanism and replace it with a new one.
