I'm not suggesting you're an idiot or anything, but someone has to ask... it's not just the kiddy switch button, is it?

VX Commodore wagon
The master switch on the console just behind the gearstick (has controls for all four windows on it) has a plug in the underside that can work its way loose over time. Did that in my VX wagon, its not hard to pry it out and push the plug back in hard
