When I got my Car (VN Calais) it already had a new head unit installed and subsequently the electric antenna does not work.
Any ideas/suggestions would be great.
Cheers and Thankx

Rip open your compartment, the kick panel in the passenger foot area, and the antenna should be somewhere near the ECU. Just have a general look around and make sure everything is connected properly. A multimeter is good too. It should have 3 wires coming from it, one (probably red) will be for + power, and should be always +12 volts, a yellow(?) one should be a remote line, and will only carry +12V when the accessories or the head unit is turned on, and the black(?) one should be connected straight to the chassis or other earth line.

If you can confirm all of these work its a bigger problem with the antenna itself, and you might need a new one.

Go to the control box (under the glovebox attached to the fan/heater box assembly near the ecm)and with a multimeter on volts measure what voltage you have on the yellow/red wire when the radio is on between it and earth.
If it is 12 v or somewhere near the problem is not at the head unit but the aerial or associated fuses etc.
But if you don't get anything chances are the installers haven't hooked up the power aerial signal to the right wire should be the yellow/red wire in the wiring behind the unit.
