hi all

my car has power surges, the battery warning light comes on then every lightglobe, LED and LCD gets brighter. so far its caused my lowbeams to blow. does anyone know a possible sorce for this problem ? i was thinking the alternator but its only 5 years old. the batterys(century) about 2 years old. the surges happen at random times while driving and can last from 1 sec to 10 min

cheers

I suspect the alternator may be the cause, that's where charge voltage is regulated. 5 years is old enough to be faulty.

I also suspect the voltage regulator on the alternator.
