    hi, i was wondering if anyone can help me , i have a calais that has the electronic dash, but the speed on it doesnt work , everything else does, but not the speed, would anyone know what may be wrong and how i would fix it

    Should be the speed transducer.. You can use a Vn version apparently (never tried) but it'l read in miles not km due to the different frequency.. Your best bet is to eBay/gumtree one and replace it.
    It should be in your engine bay below master cylinder..

    It could be several things
    Speedo cable from the gearbox to the transducer or the transducer itself or something else entirely.

    If it is a transducer they are getting few and far between, you best bet is to talk to Tom Taranto his username on here is speedotom I think he fixed up a speedo for me and I have been very happy with his work. He may be able to repair yours.

    You can buy aftermarket senders that are the correct pulse and various adapters etc to make it work again talk to him.

    thanks, i have been looking for a power window main switch for her, but i will look for that aswell. would prefer to keep her original if possible to some degree, but she is my very slow project and i know a little about the vr but she is all new to me so any help would be appreciated :)

    thanks scott, im new to this and havent worked out the site yet, i will keep an eye out for him, There isnt much wrong with her just some minor things, but i have had her sitting in the shed for 6yrs and now its time to start on her, just love the sound of her and cant wait to drive her, but i want to do it myself and i need help for that
