Ok so before i started on the fiberglass resin, i thought id put the sub in and see how it goes. It sounds shithouse !! Its quieter and has no where as much punch as the old box it was in. So i've obviously done something wrong somewhere. I dont think any amount of fiberglass resin is going to cure it

Yep, definately done something wrong....your ports/box are sealed up i take it?

Try plugging (putting a shirt or similar) into one of the ports...see if that makes a difference.

Maybe the "3.0" cu.ft. box they recommend was after woofer/port displacement?

Yeah all the ports are sealed up, i havent sealed the sub face bit on yet, it's on, but not silicon sealed.I thought that even though i may have redueced the volume after the woofer and ports, they also have a 2.oft inclosure, which uses the same ports, only their 3/4 inch shorter. So i figured i'd still be in between them two.
