Can anyone tell me what year my engine was built by the number VH13901. I am having probs seeing the last digit. I just found out it does not match my rego papers.

Ok so I now have the full number VH1390162. Tried Holden and they can not identify the engine, because it is not the original factory engine. Reason I need to know is I have ordered rockers and if it is not a VR engine they will not fit.

m62 i think they came with but you need to relocate alternator lol

Anyway I can find out what series my Buick engine is from? I have tried the forum and Google for like 30mins and nothing. If it was a V8 there is heaps of info.

Is the above info reliable. I'm guessing this would make it a VR engine.
Just for the record didn't the US bring out a S/C in the Buick and called it the L67?

No, whole conversion! U will be sideways down those dirt roads!

The L67 is the supercharged version of the L36 (ECOTEC).

I thought the L67 was the S/C upgrade Eco type. But then I Googled it, as the engine type codes confuse me, because there are a fair few and it aint like the old days of red, and blue straight six and V8's going by CU and I had hits for Buick S/C, never heard of this available from factory in VR, and figured it must be a US thing, but even then wasn't sure?

VR V6 Ute, VS V6 snotbox
Hey Losh, not sure if this will help you but I have a '93 VR eng #VH1364379.
I also have a known VR spare motor eng #VH1409965 so I would say the info above would be good.
I had a look at the dipstick on the spare motor,(other post) but only found the number 92032567 which would be a part number.
Don't know how you could tell if the dipstick was original anyway...
Cheers,Mark.
