Hey. I built a worked 202 for my VK a while back and finally got around to getting it running and after the run in process. It developed a tapping noise. I since found out that the cam has possibly rounded 2 lobes and the cam bearings also need to be replaced. I think it may have been an oil pressure problems, possible due to the oil pump or that it wasn't primed or run in properly.
I was thinking about pulling it down and rebuilding it but I don't have access to the tools I need to build it properly and if I'm honest, I have lost all motivation to even look at my car or engine and I just want to pay to have it done.
Does anyone know any engine builders in the western suburbs of Melbourne that have experience with 202's?
