Don't bother with the jap motor mate the only reason they used it was because they were broke. Besides everyone's done it before why not do something nobody else has where possible.

V6 or V8 easy swap throw some strut inserts and springs in to suit as the 4 cylinder struts are not the biggest in diameter in the shaft and get some mounts welded on for the engine i think v6 you dont even need to do the mounts as if fits straight on the 4 cylinder ones i think my mates was 2L now 3.8 only had v6 struts put in as far as i know and the 3800 diff.

Its NZ. u can chuck a 13b into your car if that turns you on. even a 454 chev if you can fit it in there somewhere without too much mods to the engine bay.
How bout trying a factory rb25 turbo? if the n/a rb30 will go in an rb25det will fit in the same but with more power

    2jz-gte ............... No ****!

if you can do it legally+easy RB25 would be the go!, get a VL kframe and the motor will bolt in perfectly, you'll need some custom work with the tail shaft and ecu/wiring.

    That's a standard 13B right?

We can do that here too. It's just engineering it for a Turbo. That's the issue.

We have that same rule here, however manufacturer by definition means someone that turned the raw materials into the product and that's Holden no matter which was you look at it. So Holden motors in Lexcens are OK :)

just buy a V6 VN auto, decide on the year you want. then find a manual transmission and perform the conversion. manual commodores go for a lot more money then autos, harder to find with less kms and most likely used like they were stolen. you can find working autos for as low as $500.

if you want a track car then save up and buy a S13 CA, cheapest decent turbo cars around.

Apparently the S1 VN motor is the quickest of the Buick 3800's

THE CAR GODS HAVE SMILED UPON ME!!! I scored a VN Calais with V6 auto for nothing!! I dont know whats wrong with it, I have only cranked the engine but it didnt start. I am going to have a good look at it when I get the time.

Its got leather upholstery, all the trip computers and the better dash. i am gonna swap alot of parts. I have already swapped my back seat to leather, giddy giddy giddy goo.

I am going to check if it has an LSD, if it does the car gods really love me!!

Its also got after market springs and the engine looks in good nick. I am going to swap my entire rear suspension setup if its in good nick, I have shredded suspension bushes on my running VN at the moment :(

I am going to get the engine running and see what condition the drive train is in.
