Hey guys i just did an engine swap. Heres what i did: The auto was from my VS. The engine is a VT with the VS intake. During the conversion i put my mace 12mm spacer and insulator, mace 82 deg thermo state and mace 69mm tb. I also took out the aircon system.

This morning was its first start up. Its running like absolute ****. When i crank it over it starts but then the idles bounch from 500rpm to 1200rpm over and over untill the car dies. I have no idea what is causing this and no error codes apart from my transmission is coming up: 59, 66, 67, 73, 83.

Any ideas of what it could be thats cause this wired idle until it dies.

Vac leak somewhere. Check all manifold bolts are tight and that no hoses are hanging off.

Yeah sounds like a vac leak or an airflow meter hasn't been hooked up....

Sounds like you have a fuel issue, injectors getting a good signal/pulse, enough pressure coming from the Fuel Pump? The little fuel Diaphragm on the back of the manifold isn't stuffed? A possible air leak somewhere?

It turns out it was the IAC on its way out. Alot of things decided to break during the converion. My box was pretty good, now it has no 1st or TCC lock up. That IAC was brand new a few months ago, now thats stuffed. Weird car, i would love to go back to carby. Cheers for your help guys.
