Hey I have a 93 vr Holden commodore v6, I want to put a 2jz in this car. Does anyone have a rough idea of what it will cost for a mechanic to pull the current engine and running gear out and replace it with a 2jz and all it's running gear? Thanks
Oh boy. Do you have a spare hm I don't know 10 or more grand laying around. Can be done but it's custom everything and not cheap.
Wouldnt even bother.. Not worth it. But as wraith said its possible but its to much #### around and to much money and headache etc why dont you just go buy a supra?? or spend 10grand on the engine you have now..
So it's not a simple in and out. Connect new ecu and wire dash ect. Well how do these Buick 3.8 motor handle mods?
Haha lololol yes that would be good… To be honest lost count really but wasnt to expensive lol.. Just got myself a donor complete VS for $400 and went from there.. Maybe roughly $1500 and thats including couple new seals so now it doesnt leak a drop of fluid except coolant from a shitty radiator cap. but needs a few more dollars spent thanks to my mistakes haha.. If you thinking about ecotec conversion go for it… Much better then the buick.. Pulls harder with less mods, runs smoother, better fuel eco etc Dont spend the money on the buick ditch it for a ecotec and then spend money on mods.. People will say just get a V8 but each to their own.

Yes it all bolts in perfect im running a T5 on mine also.. One thing you haft to do is get the manual flywheel mirror balanced to the ecotec auto flexplate.. Also good tip is to get a auto donor car cause its cheaper... I just go for ecotec I think. Should bolt straight onto my 5 speed[/QUOTE]
hahahahahahahaha, if it was that easy then heaps of people would be doing it. You need a custom K-Frame and mounts and pretty much everything. L67 conversions are easier, hell it would even be easy to do a 5.0L conversion and just swap the K-Frames compared to a 2JZ. Plus it would cost less.
