    How you going guys.

Was driving along and the engine just stopped.. Did a quick diagnostic and got error code 41 (No Crankshaft Reference pulse / ignition voltage < 11volts)

Luckily car was within pushing range of home, so its now in my driveway.

What can cause this error? Is it a simple fix?

Im assuming the car needs a Crankshaft Reference Pulse so it knows when to time the sparkplugs to ignite the fuel?

Anyways, is this an easy fix? A blown fuse maybe? Ive googled and havent found anything on this error other than what it means... Nothing on how to fix it!

ANy help would be great. Dont wanna have to pay a greasemonkey hundreds if its something simple to do..

Ill have a look at it first thing in the morning. I know what the DFI is (the big flat thing under the coils) but what does DFI stand for? something fuel injection? :| no idea... im still learning the ropes of the mechanical realm

EDIT: NVM stands for direct fuel injection.

direct fire ignition. if there no crank signal then its most likely the cas has completely failed.

Its all good guys, thanks alot!

The problem was the huge black connector cable going into the DFI was all dusty inside, pulled it apart, cleaned it, washed housing, sprayed contacts with degreaser and cleaned up the contacts, presto works fine.

While i was fidling with the cables then tried to start it again is when i realised, that if i hold the connector up a little car starts fine, then if its let to drop, it wont start / dies.
