I hope someone can Help me, i have a 1998 VT executive and it recently overheated and did a head gasket and cylinder heads, i have had it all fixed but now when the engine gets up to temp, about 80 degrees, the engine light comes on in the dash and i don't know whats causing it, can anyone help? thanks

If the engine light cames on, it will log a fault code. You can either take it to Holden and they can read the fault code and tell what's wrong and fix it. Or you could buy a workshop manual and find out how to read the codes yourself . They also include a list of the different codes.
It's a bit long to explain right now. I'm a slow writer.

Most auto parts shops have them for $35-$40. A wise investment, I use mine often and it saves me money in repairs.

Yeah I got the manual cost me $40, and i think it is a crook oxygen sensor in the exhaust outlet if i am reading the flash's right. I have a better look on the weekend, cheers for the advice.

very possible if there was a lot of coolant blowing out the exhaust, this will kill an oxygen sensor.
