    just a few quick questions.

i was wondering how much people have paid to get their engine removed and another one put in? and if it was a mechanic or other? and how much was the labour not including engine?

for a engine removal and install only you are probibly looking at 6-7 hrs labour maybe more and it depends on what the shop charges per hour. could be between 200 - 700 dollars just for labour.

you also need to look at oil, and coolent and the other useless consumabols such as bolts that might get striped or broken depending on how much of a c the job is goin to be.

i have done a vn removal and installation (including regasket top and bottom including rear main) in a day and a half.

I've been quoted $500 labour and $675 VS motor with 120 000 kms (supposedly). + oil, filter, coolant etc etc

The 5L VR I bought 3 months ago he did the top and bottom end of the engine, put a sports cam in and changed the ignition coil and in the end of the day he spent $7000 on it.
