Hey guys,
New to just commodores but was hoping for some opinion on a VT I recently bought. Picked it up for $900 with a Sh$%load of rego but there's a few little things to iron out. Number one is when floored from a standstill the engine seems to jump and cut up to redline.. really jolty. idles fine and when pushed rolling seems to accelerate fine (if you drive slowly as you would trying to save fuel, the problem isnt there). Apart from at a stop or low speed it doesnt happen and I was told by my mate who I bought it off he had driven it to Melbourne recently with no problems. There is no water in the oil or anything like that and I've been told likely causes of the problem are somewhere in the ignition, probably the coil pack.. anyone know? Thought I'd ask the real commodore masters here before paying anyone..
