Hi guys, ive searched other threads and cant see exactly what im looking for. I have a Holden VG Factory v6 that i have swapped in a VS 5l. In order for me to get into diagnostics mode to set static timing, what pins should i bridge? Its a VS v8 engine loom with VN v6 body loom. Any help would be great.

You need to wire in an ALDL plug.

If car runs with vs ecu/loom it should have been added also check has added accessory power to trans if 4l60e.

Awesome thanks for that, does apear the trans is in limp mode and doesnt have accessory power. Do you know where the accessory power for the trans comes from? Is it wires that come from the ignition over to the passenger side of he car under the dash? Or does it trace through the engine bay? Shouldnt be to hard to run my own wires?

Need to find pink with blue trace wire coming from trans plug.

The end of wire should be somewhere near bellhousing area...then tap it to a fused accessory or add it.

I'm working arvo's this weekend but need bit of time to look up info properly from diagrams...so pm Monday as a reminder.

Be handy for you to get aldl plug from a vr/s to hook that up and speedo too.

Awesome ill have a look and see what i can do. Really appreciate the help. I used a donor car for the swap so i have all of the vs body loom ect just not sure on how exaclty how to wire in the aldl. I managed to sort diagnostics mode by earthing D6 w/b trace wire.

Good point. A lot of the VR/VS cluster instrumentation looks the same as the VN/VP but is electrically incompatible, this was discussed a lot 20 odd years ago when these swaps were common:
