Discussion in 'VR - VS Holden Commodore (1993 - 1997)' started by ephect, May 20, 2008.

Would it be useful to have a single thread for Problems & Fixes?

    Ok, hear me out

    I've been thinking of late, and whilst doin a good search to see if anyone's had a problem that i had experienced.. sorting though many a thread, it can be quite hard to find the correct info through the crap, so I would like to try and compile a thread that only contains problems and its Solution. Im aiming for this to become a sticky down the track so anyone and everyone can reference this. Now i need all the help i can get to get this to a valuable and useable thread..

    in the initial stage of this thread im wanting some suggestions on how to compile this list thats;
    easy to view
    easy to search
    contains simple & complex problems & its solutions.

    Im not after "how-to" fixes, just after what was done to fix the issue. I understand that they may be several fixes for the one problem. ie: missing underload, change leads & possibly plugs.

    format i have thought of..
    Problem: Car misses under load/acceleration
    Solution: Change plugs and leads

    Ok, i want your input how to go about this, thoughts, ideas, criticism, is it worth it, then pending approval i will setup a thread and we'll get something going.

    Isn't that the purpose of the "wiki"?

    Hmmm, seems to have been taken off. There was a wiki link a couple of weeks ago that I had a quick browse through and it covered a fair bit, also users could update/add info to it.

    ok i looks like its still underdevelopment and there doesnt seem to any rough eta on its progress

    and it does have the potential to work, and would work better than a thread on each commodore model section..

    shall we begin the WIKI solution part for VR-VS in this thread so we have something to add to it when its getting closer to completion? or just screw this thread and post up in Wiki?
